Biohazard Waste
Biohazard Transport performs routine collections of medical waste from clients around Otago and Southland. Collections are customized to suit the client and range from bi-weekly to monthly pickups.
Clients are supplied with the appropriate, regulation-specified containers to house medical waste for disposal while on their premises.
Upon collection, full containers are removed with new, fresh containers supplied on-site from our fully stocked vehicles.
Biohazard waste is transported to destruction facilities in certified, purpose-built vehicles.
Destruction of biohazard waste involves weight recording, segregation, and mass sterilisation of collected material before it is ground and buried deep at the landfill. Biohazard Transport is also able to provide its clients with a document destruction service.
